Touch

A Touch is a single outreach attempt to a prospect — one email, one phone call, one LinkedIn message, or one voicemail. The concept of touches is foundational to sequence design: research consistently shows that most responses and connections come after the 5th to 8th touch, yet the majority of reps give up after 1–2 attempts. Tracking total touches per prospect and per sequence helps teams optimize follow-up persistence without crossing into harassment.
